I came across this article earlier today. I am supposed to feel bad for the two teens but I am not even going to try to be politically correct with this. According to what I read in the story my heart goes out to the Minnesota homeowner. There are actually two Facebook pages based on this story; one for the the two kids shot and one for the alleged shooter. Like I said I feel more for the homeowner (Byron David Smith) because, 1) he had no idea if the kids were armed or not, 2) he had a right to protect himself and his home, 3) even if the kids were not armed Smith is 64 years old compared to the teens and he was out-numbered.
On a cynacle note by following the story just a little I found out that white people are just as ignorant as Blacks. The two teens were white and a Facebook page was created in honor of their memory. On that page people are outraged about the shooting. One person wished the gunman would have fired a warning shot. WTF?????
I remember stories in New York where Black kids with records as long as your arm would get shot and killed and there would be public outcry over it by people claiming the victim was a good kid.
In twenty years I will be 67. This case means a lot to me because it will determine how I get to protect myself as I get older. My support goes to Mr. Smith.
