There was a shooting at an elementary school in Connecticut today that left nearly 30 dead, including about 18 children, according to the news. And while my prayers go out to the victims and their families I hope this doesn't turn into a debate about gun control. I want it to turn into an awakenng about mental health. Whoever even thinks about doing things like this has issues and eliminating the gun to me only means a sick person will find another way of eliminating people. Getting rid of every gun simply says that we do not care about the individual, just don't shoot me. Off the top of my head this is the fourth mass shooting since July and in four completely different areas (Colorado, Wisconsin, Oregon and Connecticut). Three out of four of the shooters were under 30 years of age.
Time to tackle to real issues behind this.
