Connecticut and gun control

Possibly my last thought on the Connecticut shooting:

I hate the knee jerk reactions calling for more gun control.  How much more can you control?  Ban assault weapons?  Ok, but that was not the problem here.  The problem is addressing a mental health crisis.  Too many people in this country need to address some mental health issue and for a number of reasons they are not being helped.  It is either too expensive for people or you have to wait too long to get the assistance.  I remember when I had my anxiety attack years ago and the wait for one of the doctors was two months.  Bottom line is, ONE way to avoid these mass shootings is to not put a dollar sign in front of it.  If we look at this as a way to make money it will be a matter of time before someone enters a school, or office or cafeteria or mall and blow people away.
