SIDEBAR: Linda McMahon

Last night Linda McMahon won primary in Connecticut for Senator.  I don’t live in Connecticut but I do know of Linda McMahon.  She is the wife of Vince McMahon of World Wrestling Entertainment.  I’ve been a fan of wrestling since I was 12 years old.  Not always a fan of the WWE but I did like some of the superstars of the WWE.  Like all of wrestling Linda McMahon is a character.  Literally.  She plays herself, the (former) CEO of the federation.  Her husband usually plays the heel (bad guy in case you never watched wrestling) and Linda almost always portrayed the good guy. So when I heard she was running for office a couple of years ago the mark in me automatically trusted her because of the image she portrayed.  Alas, even if I lived in Connecticut I doubt if I would vote for her as nowadays I do not vote republican.  I am against their general vision.  That wanting “smaller government” while you give millionaires tax breaks does not work for me.  And I tend to think that the reason they want smaller government is so they won’t regulate shady companies that screw up and sink the country further into a depression.  I am not saying McMahon is one of THOSE republicans but I would rather not find out
