I know people generally make their endorsements known after September but I endorse Barack Obama for president. Not that it makes a difference to the world or even the handful of readers I may have.
I am for human rights. I want to see homeless people have a better chance and I want all Americans to see a doctor and not be worried about having to to declare bankruptcy. I don't think Obama is perfect but he is a little better for the job by my standards. I refuse to vote for a person more hell bent on balancing a budget than helping people. Sadly though that seems to be the trend. Folks more and more have a selfish attitude. They have theirs, screw you if you don't get yours on your own.
Lastly, the country went south economically during the Bush Administration and we had eight years of him. Why not give this guy eight years to see if he can reverse it? And give him a democratic congress so he can achieve some of his goals.
