My best friend went through his first chemotherapy yesterday and he handled it better than I thought he would. it went better than I thought would.
Even though my mother went through chemo 15 years ago I wasn't in Florida with her so I really have no idea how it is administered. My mother wasn't really sick during or afterwards so aside from what I read I have no idea of what a person may go through.
Except for feeling tired after the session was over my friend handled it well. He was on anti-nausea drugs so that helped. The nine hour was basically spent hydrating him intravenously then giving him the drugs. I called it poison.
I am amazed that after all these years of doing research on cancer and treatments that the best we can do in cancer treatments is pump poison into the body
