I came to Florida last week to make sure Mom made some doctor's appointments and got some blood work done. For the most part I accomplished my goals.
On Friday I got her blood work done and I got her hearing aid checked and cleaned. Thursday I got her ears checked. Monday and Tuesday I got the electricity and the water turned back on. I even went with her and my aunt to their AARP meeting. I would have taken her to her primary physician Friday but he changed her appointment to September 24. I have to now decide if I can stay the extra days for this or do I let Volusia Council on the Aged handle this. I am leaning towards staying until the appointment then leaving that evening. Even if I go back to New York on my original date this was a productive visit. My next visit, God willing, should be in December.
