The Texas Weather Massacre

I was reading this Politico article (link below)  following up on the tragic weather situation in Texas which resulted in dozens of deaths.  Well specifically, this article follows up on Senator Ted Cruz's blunder, taking his kids on a trip to Mexico during the crisis. To be honest, I didn't follow the situation...because it was Texas until I heard how dire the situation had become.  I was truly sorry to read that people died and that so many lost power and had to sleep in cars.

Then I read that Texas was off the National Grid and whatever they have is privately owned..    Then I read that President Biden is going to send aid to the state, which is good but didn't the Texas Senator vote "no" when New York and California needed aid during similar times in the past?    For a moment I thought it would be interesting if Democrats voted against giving aid to a state which once denied aid for someone else.  Just for a moment.  Instead, I will pray for their recovery and pray that when the situation is reversed in the future that Republicans think the same way.
